Is cheating forbidden? Not in this cheeky card game – in fact, you will probably have to cheat to win.
In Mogel Motte you want to get rid of all the cards in your hand before everyone else. Each player starts the round with a hand of eight cards, with one player (the oldest) receiving the guard bug – which stays on the table throughout the game – and one card is turned face up to start a discard pile. The cards are numbered 1-5, and most of them have numbers only; some cards have special abilities that come into play when they are added to the discard pile or to a player's hand.
Cheating is a necessity, as the Cheating Moth cards cannot be played to the discard pile but must disappear by cheating. (The guard can play these cards, however, as the guard (who watches for people cheating) is not allowed to cheat.)
