Moon Base is an abstract game for 2 players, where the goal is to develop the moon. Over the course of 6 rounds, players must place rings on the craters or on top of each other to create the Moon Base. Players must try to place the rings in such a way that their colors gain the upper hand, and ultimately get the most points.
Moon Base stands out due to its special board. The craters on the moon form the playing fields, and players must think tactically and long-term to place the rings in such a way that the opponent's colors are eliminated when the rings overlap each other. The rings can be placed in 2 or 3 layers, and often the points are decided by how the rings are placed down to the millimeter.
