Moving Day

July 1st is "Moving Day" in Quebec, Canada. It's no joke, as more than 100,000 people (!) move on this special day. Why? Since the 18th century, all leases have been legally expiring on the same day. The law has since been changed, but landlords and tenants still stick to July 1st as the universal moving day. And with so many people moving on the same day, it's of course nearly impossible to hire movers or even rent moving trucks - so everyone in the community shows up to help you move!
In Moving Day , your job is to pack all your belongings neatly into the available vehicles. You'll need to try to avoid crushing lighter items by stacking heavier items on top, while also assigning people from the local community to each vehicle. Some of them are quite clumsy and can destroy fragile items if you're not careful, but if they're bringing delicious food, it might be impossible to turn them away...
On your turn, you will select a set of two item spaces and a person card from a general view, then assign them to your vehicles. Be aware that your vehicles have limited space and different shapes, and you must fill the items from the bottom to the top. People also have different strengths and should ideally be strong enough to lift your heavier items together.
After eight rounds, the game ends. Each player has now assigned sixteen item spaces and eight person cards to their vehicles, and they calculate their score:
- Heavy objects on top of lighter objects destroy the lighter objects underneath.
- Clumsy people will destroy fragile objects.
- Heavy objects give more points than lighter objects.
- Get extra points for objects of the same shape that are adjacent to each other.
- Get extra points for items of the same type that are next to each other.
- Food tokens are also worth 1 point each!
The player with the most points wins!

When you place your order, you can choose to pick up your order at one of our stores.
If you order on a weekday before 3:00 PM, and the item is in stock at the store in question, the item will often be ready for pickup within a few hours.
Please note that the webshop is connected to our warehouse in Copenhagen. When you order for pickup in Aarhus, it can therefore take up to six days before the order is ready for pickup.
Therefore, always wait until you have received an email stating that your order is ready for pickup.
