Nusfjord is a quiet fishing village in the Lofoten archipelago in northern Norway. Fifty years ago, business flourished when the cod came to spawn. Today, Nusfjord is more of a museum than a village, with fewer than a hundred inhabitants. Imagine how beautiful this place must be, considering that you have to pay a fee just to see the houses. Cruise ships used to pass by this long-forgotten and now largely abandoned islet.
In the time period in which the game Nusfjord takes place, things looked completely different. Sailing ships dominate the fjord. The cliffs around Nusfjord are covered in trees. As the owner of a large fishing company in Nusfjord in the Lofoten archipelago, your goal is to develop the harbor and the surrounding landscape, and to succeed you must expand your fleet, clear the forest, erect new buildings and satisfy the local elders. Of course, others are doing this too, so the competition is fierce.
Nusfjord Big Box contains The Nusfjord base game, two previously released expansions (Plaice deck and Salmon deck) and two new expansions (Trout deck and Visiting deck) along with additional components, including new guest meeples .
