In Pax Pamir , players take on the role of 19th-century Afghan leaders attempting to forge a new state after the collapse of the Durrani Empire. During the game, players buy cards and play them in front of them - each card adds units to the large board, and allows them to perform actions that can upset the other players.
To survive, players must organize themselves into coalitions. The coalition with the most dominance awards victory points to its members throughout the game - if there is division, points are awarded based on how powerful the individual player is. The game is partially restarted along the way, so there is always a chance to achieve one's goals.
A game with lots of strategy and choices, where players constantly influence each other's options.
