Firebird, 1000 pieces (Paperblanks)
In stock at the following stores: Games København, Games Aarhus
A jigsaw puzzle from Paperblanks with Nadezhda Sokolova's Firebird from the Birds of Happiness series. The image is the firebird of Russian folklore, executed as batik on silk.
The series is named after the carved wooden birds of happiness that were traditionally hung in the home to protect health and good fortune. The firebird recurs in Slavic mythology as a symbol of renewal and the warmth of the sun. Paperblanks uses sturdy blue cardboard and a decorative, embossed paper like that on its hardbound notebooks; all paper comes from sustainable forestry, and the cardboard is 100 % recycled material.
