Jigsaw puzzle from Paperblanks with Aristarkh Lentulov's painting Monastery from 1917, which shows the bishop's residence at the New Jerusalem Monastery.
Lentulov (1882-1943) was one of the leading figures of the Russian avant-garde and a co-founder of the artists' group Jack of Diamonds in 1909. His cubist, fractured architecture in strong colours looks almost like an illustration for a fairy tale. Note that the puzzle is named after the design series Lentulov's Cityscapes, not after the subject of the painting. Paperblanks uses heavy blue cardboard and a decorative, embossed paper like that on its hardbound notebooks; all paper comes from sustainable forestry, and the cardboard is 100 % recycled material.
