Wooden puzzle box shaped like a die, designed by Akio Kamei. The pips on the sides are the key to the mechanism – but simply pressing them is not enough.
Karakuri boxes build on the traditional puzzle boxes of Hakone-Odawara in Japan. Each box has its own mechanism, devised by Karakuri Creation Group's own designers; some open with a single move, others take a long sequence of pushes, turns and shakes. Every box is cut and assembled by hand.

When you place your order, you can choose to pick up your order at one of our stores.
If you order on a weekday before 3:00 PM, and the item is in stock at the store in question, the item will often be ready for pickup within a few hours.
Please note that the webshop is connected to our warehouse in Copenhagen. When you order for pickup in Aarhus, it can therefore take up to six days before the order is ready for pickup.
Therefore, always wait until you have received an email stating that your order is ready for pickup.
