Robo Rally 2016 Hasbro
A breathless, chaotic and wildly funny racing game in which the players steer small robots around dangerous test tracks with lasers, bottomless pits and conveyor belts.
At the start, the players pre-program their robot's movements from a set of dealt cards that say whether the robot turns, drives straight ahead, turns around and so on. Anyone who is not quick enough gets part of the robot's movements programmed at random.
Once all players have programmed their robots, the cards are turned over one at a time and the movement is carried out. Over the course of a programming sequence things can go badly wrong if a robot is pushed, carried too far by a conveyor belt, or simply programmed incorrectly, and chaos and unintended movements can arise in no time.
Robo Rally is an older game from the 90s, but it still holds up today. This is the 2016 edition, in which the look of the pieces, the box and the game board has been given a major lift.
Anyone who likes chaotic and funny games where chance rules will have to try Robo Rally.
