Robo Rally 2023
A breakneck, chaotic and wildly funny racing game in which players steer small robots around dangerous test tracks with lasers, bottomless pits and conveyor belts.
At the start, players pre-program their robot's movements from a hand of dealt cards that say whether the robot turns, drives straight ahead, turns around and so on. Anyone who is not quick enough has part of the robot's movements programmed at random.
Once all players have programmed their robots, the cards are turned over one at a time and the movement is carried out. Over the course of a programming sequence things can go badly wrong if a robot is pushed, carried too far by a conveyor belt or simply programmed incorrectly, and chaos and unintended movements can arise in an instant.
Robo Rally is an older game from the 90s, but it still holds up today. This is the 2023 edition.
