In a pre-WW2 Germany, tensions are high between the liberals and the fascismists in parliament.
Secret Hitler is a dramatic game of political intrigue and betrayal set in 1930s Germany. Each player is assigned a secret role as either a liberal or a fascist, and one player is Secret Hitler. The fascists are trying to sow distrust and bring their cold-blooded leader to power; the liberals must find and stop Secret Hitler before it's too late.
In each round, players choose a president and a chancellor who work together to enact a law from the deck of cards. If the government enacts a fascist law, players must figure out whether they were betrayed or just unlucky. As the fascists gain ground, new opportunities for the government come into play. The fascists will use these opportunities to wreak havoc.
The liberals' goal is to introduce five liberal laws, or assassinate Secret Hitler. The fascists' goal is to introduce six fascist laws, or elect Secret Hitler as chancellor after they have introduced three laws.
