Sheriff of Nottingham (2nd ed)
Prince John comes to Nottingham and merchants from near and far travel to the city to make a good deal and earn a few shillings or two. However, not all merchants are pure flour in the sack and illegal products such as rare luxury goods, beer and weapons can be particularly lucrative to sell in the city's bustling market.
The sheriff stands at the city gate, looking for any suspicious merchants carrying illegal goods. Maybe a coin or two will make him look the other way?
IN Sheriff of Nottingham The players are merchants whose goal is to be the richest at the end of the game. Players take turns taking on the role of the sheriff, and the players must take turns declaring what they have in their little bag. The players must bluff, bribe, lie and cheat the sheriff with everything they have ever learned. If there are illegal goods in the bag, a hefty fine awaits if the sheriff opens it. If he opens a bag of regular goods that has been declared, the merchant gets a dispensation.
This version includes the expansions: the 6th Merchant, Black Market, and Sheriff's Deputy.
