Subbuteo (Danish)
In stock at the following stores: Games København, Games Aarhus
Subbuteo is a classic action game that simulates football by flicking with the fingers. It is played on a large cloth playing surface called a 'pitch', with teams of miniature footballers mounted on smooth, round bases. The footballers kick the ball when their bases are flicked, which makes them slide around the pitch and hit the ball. The rules simulate almost every detail of a football match, including possession and passing, throw-ins, goal kicks and corner kicks. There is even a large section of the rules dedicated to free kicks.
This game, which is far more popular in European countries than in the USA, lets collectors buy teams of footballers representing dozens of teams and countries from all over the world, along with stadium enhancements such as stands filled with cheering fans, referees standing on the sidelines, even stadium lights.
