Tarantel Tango

The game consists of 120 animal cards (dog, cow, donkey, goat, cat and parrot, plus 5 special tarantula cards).
Each player receives a share of the cards and forms their own face-down stack. The aim of the game is to get rid of your cards as quickly as possible. To do so, the cards are placed clockwise around a five-sided Tarantel tile in the middle of the table.
Before turning over the top card of their stack, a player may have to imitate the animal on the previous player's card (by saying 'woof', 'hee-haw' and so on). This depends on certain features of the previous card: if it shows one or two spiders, the player must imitate once or twice; otherwise they must stay silent.
The player then places their top card on the next space clockwise around the Tarantel tile, except when there are two animals on the previous card. In that case the new card is placed on the space after the next ... All within a time limit of at most 2 seconds.
And finally, if the new card is a Tarantel, all players must slap a hand down on the table (to 'chase it away').
Anyone who makes a mistake or is too slow must take all the cards on the table into their own stack, and a new round begins.
Several additional expert rules make it even more complicated to get rid of the cards and provoke more mistakes: for example, cards must be placed on earlier donkeys, as these are too stubborn to move on, or curious dogs change the direction in which cards are placed (clockwise to anticlockwise and vice versa).

If you order on a weekday before 3:00 PM, and the item is in stock at the store in question, the item will often be ready for pickup within a few hours.
Please note that the webshop is connected to our warehouse in Copenhagen. When you order for pickup in Aarhus, it can therefore take up to six days before the order is ready for pickup.
Therefore, always wait until you have received an email stating that your order is ready for pickup.
