In Tend, the players take the role of a pioneer working for the Zenith corporation to start a homestead on a new, alien world.
Tend is a "flip and write" game in which each player builds their own farm and gathers the widest selection of goods to send back to Zenith HQ for study. All players use the same set of action cards each round to carry out actions on their own sheets at the same time.
As the game progresses, new cards are added to the shared set of cards, changing which actions are available to the whole table over the course of the game.
Players earn victory points for collecting badges, completing season goals, being the best neighbour and filling their cargo manifest with goods to be sent back to Zenith HQ. At the end, the player with the most victory points wins.
