The Cold Dark is a solo survival diary game. You play as a survivor lost in a harsh, frozen wilderness after a storm overturns the plane you were in. Now that your pilot is dead and no one can help you, you must gather all the resources you can just to stay alive.
The Cold Dark is also a horror game. The further you travel – the longer you survive – the clearer it becomes that something is hunting you. Before this night is over, you will have to take a stand against this unseen beast.
If the cold doesn't kill you, then the beast does it.
How do you play?
Your survivor must travel to up to 13 different locations to find as many resources as possible. To do this, they must overcome certain complications found in each location by using one of their two skills: Survival or Awareness.
Each of these skills is represented by a die value that can decrease for each failure to overcome a challenge. The more you try to survive, the harder things will ultimately become.
The resources you gather increase your chances of killing the Beast that hunts you. Without them, you will surely perish. If the cold, dark night doesn't kill you first.

When you place your order, you can choose to pick up your order at one of our stores.
If you order on a weekday before 3:00 PM, and the item is in stock at the store in question, the item will often be ready for pickup within a few hours.
Please note that the webshop is connected to our warehouse in Copenhagen. When you order for pickup in Aarhus, it can therefore take up to six days before the order is ready for pickup.
Therefore, always wait until you have received an email stating that your order is ready for pickup.
