Things In Rings (Danish)
In stock at the following stores: Games København, Games Aarhus
Can you place the things in the right rings in this brain-twisting board game?
Things in Rings builds on the familiar Venn diagram, where each circle has a particular rule or property. It could be "words with 2 syllables", "soft things" or "things you are allowed to take on a plane". Where the rings overlap, the rules of both rings apply. The aim of the game is to work out the rule for each ring by placing cards showing different things.
One player is "the Knower", who knows the rules in advance and places 3 cards correctly in the rings. The other players then draw 5 cards each and take turns to place a card in the rings. The Knower says whether the card is correctly placed. If it is, the player may play another card - if it is wrong, the Knower places the card correctly and the player must draw a card into their hand. As more and more cards are laid in the rings, the players get more information to use in working out the rules. The first player to get rid of all 5 cards has won.
Also includes a cooperative version.
