This War of Mine
This War Of Mine: The Board Game is the board game edition of the computer game of the same name.
In this cooperative game you are a group of civilians trapped in a besieged city. During the day you take shelter in abandoned houses, which you make your own homes by clearing rubble, building beds, searching the rooms and so on. When night falls, someone has to keep watch, among other things, and there may be exploring to do in search of food and medicine. Along the way you will meet plenty of characters, for example thieves, soldiers, refugees and traders. Each encounter is a potential, unique adventure or trauma.
This War of Mine is a game with enormous depth, well-written rules and a great deal of atmosphere. But be prepared for a heavy and sombre wartime mood. You will have to make hard choices and experience terrible, true-to-life things during the game. It is a major experience that can be played by up to six players, but is actually at its very best when played alone.
