Classic brain teaser that was developed in 1883 by the French mathematician Édouard Lucas and has since been produced in many different variants and with different numbers of discs. This version of the Tower of Hanoi comes in wood and with 9 discs.

The task is to move all the discs from one peg to another. The task is only solved if the discs are stacked from high to low. While moving the discs around, you must follow two simple rules:

  • Each move may only involve moving the top disc of a given stack.
  • You may only move one disc at a time.
  • A disc may only be placed on top of a larger disc. Never on top of a smaller disc.
