As the Soviet Union and the United States, players will embark on a 40-year-long struggle to become the most influential and powerful nation in the world. Players will use their ingenuity and strategic sense to subdue their opponents in key regions around the globe, in international conflicts, and through the space race.
However, players must also exercise caution, because with increased armament and military tensions, a devastating nuclear war is lurking just around the corner, and the game could end abruptly if this threat is not dealt with.
Twilight Struggle is one of the most popular and critically acclaimed strategy games of recent times. It is heavy and full of options, so it is not for beginners. All the maps refer to historical events that took place during the Cold War, making the game more thematic than it seems on the surface.
