In this expansion of the classic Catan board game, there's no more sitting on your hands and passively harvesting resources.
The island of Catan is under attack by ferocious barbarians, who will of course try to plunder your cities. So in addition to keeping an eye on your opponents, as you are so used to from the base game, you also need to build an army that can keep the barbarians away.
Cities & Knights also introduces three new resources that can be used to build city improvements, as well as some new development cards that make the game even more exciting and varied.
This expansion is recommended for anyone who loves the base game but would like an extra strategic dimension!
NOTE: The English version of Catan has wooden pieces and larger maps than the Danish version, so it only works with other English expansions. In addition, the 2015 edition contains thicker landscape pieces, which are best suited for the 2015 base game.
