IN Catan The players are settlers competing to build the most successful colony on the island of Catan. Catan is made up of a series of landscape tiles that provide different resources to the players. These resources are used by the players to build new roads, houses and cities. The island is built up of hexagonal tiles before the game begins and is therefore different from game to game, which provides a lot of variation. During the game, players can trade with each other, so it is possible to get hold of resources that you do not have access to.
