Catan 2015: Traders & Barbarians (English)
Traders and Barbarians is the fourth expansion to Catan (also known as Settlers or Settlers of Catan )
The expansion is a collection of a number of mini-expansions that have been released over the years, as well as two new scenarios to vary your base game. The scenarios radically change the victory conditions and strategies. In one of the new scenarios, for example, the island of Catan must be rebuilt after an attack by barbarians.
In addition, a number of smaller variants are included, which can be added individually to the base game or in conjunction with other expansions:
- Event cards that replace the dice. The deck of cards has a number distribution that matches the probability of hitting a given number with two dice
- 2-player variant that makes playing Catan more fun when there are only 2 players
- Harbormaster card, which acts as the longest trade route and the largest knight power. However, you get 2 points for having the most ports
NOTE: The English version of Catan has wooden pieces and larger maps than the Danish version, so it only works with other English expansions. In addition, the 2015 edition contains thicker landscape pieces, which are best suited for the 2015 base game.
